WACL Process

Idea:

My initial concept and design direction centred on capturing WACL’s vision for an event that felt fierce, bold, and unapologetically feminine, with a distinctive Christmas twist. I ensured the typography embodied the loudness, confidence, and sense of fun at the heart of the campaign.

WACL were particularly drawn to the organic paper-style aesthetic, as well as the use of stars, a detail that conveyed both femininity and a subtle nod to the festive season. These elements became central to the final design direction.

INITIAL DESIGNS

From the mood board WACL, loved the bright colours and the bold art deco type from the inspiration picture "rouge". I found a similar type face Organda MN. I experimented with rough paper cut Christmas themed illustrations and started exploring with textures such as gold foil on the type face that elevated the design to look more rich and premium. WACL loved the midnight Christmas theme which I took into further development before rollout.
